Out of from the Midwest in Cincinnati, Ohio, Carmen Elektra was born in the early 70s on April 20, 1972. At that time, and threw out her younger years she was known as Tara Leigh Patrick when she was growing up in the small town of White Oak, Ohio. At the very young age of nine years old Carmen was selected to go to the fine well-known School for Creative and Performing Arts. From that point on she was doing almost anything that had to do with on stage appearances including singing, dancing in musicals, doing choreography, etc. from a young age onwards she was making at her goal to go out to Los Angeles, California in order to get a record deal. In her later teen years though, she actually moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota with her sister where she made money as a model for various places including Target department stores. Eventually after a few years she made her way to Los Angeles. She quickly met Prince there which started her road to discovery.

In the early 90s, where she auditioned and met the singer Prince, she eventually signed on to his record label Paisley Park records. However, even with this signing, her first record didn't do too well. Her video was unfortunately not played too much on MTV which helped it not be very successful. This flop seem to have put an end to Carmen Electra's stardom. However, that was not the last of Carmen Elektra.

Later she was able to get a contract to replace Jenny McCarthy on the MTV show named Singled Out for a length of 65 episodes. She eventually would replace Pamela Anderson on the show Baywatch.
